Thanks for the info. on Virgie.She must have been very couragous and good at what she did. The Bryants were very good people and still are. Everybody respected them and thought a lot of them. To bad the store is closed now,but they went out with good reputation.Sharon

Vergie Mae Bryant was the daughter of Lou and Mae Bryant the first owners of Bryant Hardware store. She was a WASP during World War II. She enlisted in October 1943. She flew in all the US Army's training planes and did some special work on B-24s. When the WASP was discontinued each woman recieved a CAA (Comercial) license.
