Her mother's name was Sara Warmbrodt who was an actress as well. She married Francis Taylor and moved to England where they had Elizabeth. When war broke out in Europe, the Taylors moved back to Arkansas City briefly to live with her parents. Elizabeth attended Roosevelt Elementary. They next moved to Los Angeles, California.
