nurses training

There were about 200 nurses in the training at the hospital. They had their living quarters in the basement of the hospital.
They started 6:30 am and went 10-12 hours. Their classes was given by the physicians and Mrs. Hilgers.They also went with Drs. on house calls. Their training lasted 36 months.
They were given room, board, laundry, uniform material, a few books and $12 salary a month.
The school was closed in 1931 and the students were sent for training at Winfield Hospital.
