Norton's General Store Empty Norton's General Store

The first store in Arkansas City was Norton's General Store. It was started by Capt. G.H. Norton, who was the leader of the Walnut Town Company. The store was located at Chestnut and the Santa Fe Railroad tracks on the East side of Arkansas City.
