Chief Joseph used to come to Arkansas City all the time. He would visit A.A. Newman and C.M. Scott. There is a buckskin suit in the Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum that was made by his wife and Yellow Bull's wife for CM Scott.

Chief Joseph Chief and the Nez Perces left Idaho going to Canada ,but was brought to Indian Territory.
There is a place in the Yellowstone National Park where the Nez Perces crossed.bluebird study
