			<description>The Fifth Avenue Opera House was organized by investors on April 22, 1887.  The group invested $50,000 into the building.  These men were A.A. Newman, C.R. Sipes, Jos. Sherburne, L.E. Woodin, S. Matlack, Frank J. Hess and A.B. Johnson.  The building was located at 225 East Fifth Avenue where the Rec Center is today.  The building was beautiful and seated 1,500 people.   My Grandfather Henry Waldschmidt was on a team,but the picture I have has no names or names on their uniforms to know what the team was. He lived at Vinton, a small town south of Dexter. So do not know if that was a team from that area or he was with Arkansas City. I will find out some day.  ...</description>
